eye opening weekend

sorry for the lack of blogging lately. i had a busyyy last week/weekend. alex came to play in scorching tucson and it was also graduation weekend! to say the least, it was a really fun weekend.

there's a few things i learned after this weekend:

1. i miss home so much. i miss my family, friends, and just utah all together. al brought a taste of home when she came to play this weekend, which made me miss it more.

2. alarm systems are frrrrrustrating. which brings me to #3 & #4...

3. i've learned who my real friends are. i've realized which friendships aren't worth the effort anymore. i learned, from an outside perspective, that i will be happier without the baggage.

4. i miss the spontaneousness of my friends from home. this weekend al and i spontaneously went to a hotel at 12:30 in the morning. huuugeee king bed and then laid out at the pool when we woke up. it was just what i needed.

5. bug spray is the only way to kill bugs. i know you guys have to remember me ranting about those damn little bugs that were in my bathroom. i tried two different types of bug traps and finally, this weekend, al and i went to home depot and got bug spray. no more bugs for meee :) :)

6. i was shown some pictures of my past... & it's lookin a little chub chub. it's surprising how much someone can let themselves go. i am confident that it has a lot to do with who you are surrounded by. wahh wahh.

7. watching all my favorite seniors graduate was bitter sweet. i can't wait to graduate, but at the same time i just want time to stop so i don't have to go into the real world. scarrrrry!

8. speaking of graduation, i am so sick of school. i want to be doneeee. i had a week off and start again tomorrow. i am so not ready for it. my brain is frieddd.

stage 5 vs. doucheyyy

let me preface that this post is coming from an annoyed/frustrated kylie.

so, i've come to the conclusion that the only single guys in this world (arizona) are stage fives and douche bags

stage five clingers:
you have no idea that you're creepy. you text... we don't respond. you call.. we don't answer. you text again... still no response. i think you get the cycle. you talk about your future wives (hi, we are only 21. go to utah if you want a wifey. [no offense]) girls want to run so far away from you because you're ready for little children and a picket fence like... tomorrow! no. not normal.
you're all weird.

douche bags:
now, you guys know you're tools. you're over confident (also known as COCKY) and generally good looking. mind games are your specialty. girls keep going back to you because you know how to get inside their brains and do gymnastics. girls have a love/hate relationship with you boys. you make girls want to pull their hair out.

that is all.

parental help ticket

so, i am constantly calling my parents for basically anything and everything. you name it. here are a few recent help tickets off the top of my head....

Mom:

"well how do i put the duvet cover back on the easy way?"
"how do i mince garlic?"
"alright, how do i cook that?" ("that" meaning just about anything)
"where can i find white wedges like right now?"

Phil:

"what do i need to kill aunts?"
"what does it mean if my computer screen just went blue?"
"how do i get skuffs off of leather shoes?"
"how do i cook...(fill in the blank)"
"mother's day ideas?"

Dad:

"dad, why is my key not coming out of the ignition?"
"there's some pole thing underneath my car thats connected to this other thing."
(dad's response: "kylie, a pole is not a car part" haha!)

what would i do without them?!

herrrrow heels!

Ahhh! Today I went to the doctor for my second check up since the unfortunate shoe-acide and IT'S FULLY HEALED!!

I can't even tell you how excited I was when he said I could do whatever I wanted.

Ky: "So I can wear heels?!"
Dr. P: "Yes... isn't that how you broke it?"

Ha ha! I'm pathetic, butttt I'm 5' 3" and my shoe collection is aware of that.

this is my heels to flat ratio:

It's about every 10 heels to 1 flat.
To say the least, it's frustrating to get dressed to go out
I'm back onto a heels obsession. I want them all.

Sleepy Struggles

I have alwayyyyys been a sucker for sleep. Daily naptime after school in highschool, constantly sleeping in, and easily falling asleep at night (no matter what time it was). But lately I've been on the sleep struggle bus.

I blame this on a few bad habits of mine:

Food Network, mainly Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I always watch this (or any other Food Network show) at night. THIS IS SUCH A BAD IDEA!!! Guy Fiera is amazing and you all know how tasty the greasy food looks. Yep, makes me so hungry right before bed time, but i continue to do it!

Law and Order: SVU is my GUILTY PLEASURE! Naturally, it is always on tv from like 11 PM - around 1 AM. This is the worst idea to watch when you are home alone, or even just at night in general. My mind races after I watch this show, especially when I am trying to go to bed. Yet, it is so addicting. I have forced myself to only watch it in the day light (haha I'm a scaredy-cat)

As I mentioned before, I am NOT a morning person. Oversleeping messes with me trying to go to sleep at night. I need to put a mouse trap over my snooze button or something because that's what gets me into trouble in the mornings. I say I am going to get up at 9.... Yeah.. don't end up getting out of bed until 10:30.

SOLUTION!!!
finallllllly, I have found a solution (well my mom found it and sent it to me)
MELATONIN!!!
also known as god's gift to the world.
this magical vitamin/herb has saved my life. I didn't want to take a sleeping PILL, so my mom sent me a bottle of Melatonin and said that Phil and Heston swear by it. It seriously puts me to sleep like a little baby.

No more 3 am nights just staring at the tv/tossing & turning!
yippppeeee!

squeeeeaky clean!

thankkkk you land lords for including a house cleaner in our monthly rent. we keep this house pretty clean, but with the granite floors it is a challenge. the house cleaners came today & saved the day! the granite has been the happening place over the past two weeks.

i fostered 4 boys for 4 days... loved them, but things got a bit messy.

senior wills & awards was on tuesday. this is basically when the senior kappas pass down funny awards they've received over the years. each award comes with a little bottle of wine or some sort of alcoholic beverage. this event it open to all of the members, so there were a lotttt of girls crammed into our little courtyard/house. how about you beauuuuutiful seniors don't graduate.. thanks.

andddd friday night was bar golf. the pregame/where the buses picked us up was... at the granite haha. everyone mainly stayed in the court yard and back house. it was a really fun night! it was much needed after my week from hell.
had soo much fun with these boys!
stop number 1..
just some roomie love.

nowww my house smells so clean & lemonyyy
:)
